CONVENTIONAL UV CURING SOLUTIONS For Printing And OTHER INDUSTRIES

AMS Spectral UV Manufactures conventional UV curing systems that use mercury arc bulbs to generate UV light. This tried-and-true technology has been used since the 1960s, and represents the most common way to cure inks and coatings as part of the printing process. 

HOW IT WORKS

UV curing is a process in which ultraviolet light is generated and used to solidify substances by causing a photochemical reaction that cross links polymers.

BENEFITS

The greatest benefit of UV processes to printers when compared with IR and other "drying" methods is that it completely eliminates "drying time" - inks are instantly cured by the light once exposed to it. UV curing also improves quality because the risk of errors due to dust and airborne contaminants landing in the ink prior to drying is greatly reduced.
